The Church in Abingdon had a special 'St Francis' service today where animals were blessed. Here are some of the dogs, including Harry, waiting outside. Nobody was quite sure whether they were allowed in or whether the blessing would be outside on the grass. At this stage only two rabbits had dared to enter the church.
But then we discovered we could all go in, and this is the moment when Father Taffe blessed Harry by flicking him with holy water... We are expecting much improved behaviour from Harry from now.

Harry is more forgiving than our snake. I was going to take him to the service, but when we tried to get him out of his vivarium he tried to bite me.
Given the less than cordial relations between serpents and the church, we decided to leave him at home.
Harry says thanks to D- for looking in all the way from the USA and wants to know whether they have dogs out there? He is sorry that David did not bring the snake because that would have been the first picture of a snake on his Blog and he likes to get the unusual.
Did you see the Vicar of Dibley episode where they all bought their animals to church. I think it was the funniest episode I have ever seen.
